Tesla assembles its 6 millionth vehicle

Tesla reached a new milestone in its production with the assembly of its 6 millionth vehicle. The manufacturer passes the information without fanfare on the social network X which is also owned by Elon Musk, Tesla’s main actor. Tesla does not make a point of this since the current production rate within the company means that it only takes a little over 6 months to pass the barrier of a new million.

The last time Tesla passed the one million milestone globally was September 17, 2023. Therefore, we can believe that, by the end of the year, the milestone of 7 million copies will be reached. The fact remains that the manufacturer is marking the occasion with an image that illustrates the team in place and a Model Y. The X simply says: “6 millionth vehicle produced. Thank you to all the owners and teams around the world for your support and hard work, it really matters.

Without a shadow of a doubt, with the exceptional success that the Model Y is experiencing around the world, it is largely responsible for this increase in sales. It is also the best-selling vehicle in several countries around the world. The 3 sedan also counts for a lot in this equation. As for S and X, their impact is increasingly marginal within the company. The Cybertruck will certainly also be one to watch over the coming months and years as production in Texas gradually increases.

According to the publication Bloomberg, Tesla deliveries for the first quarter of the year will be 453,964 vehicles. This is a significant increase compared to the equivalent period of 2023 when we capped at 422,875 vehicles. However, there is a slight drop of 6% in production compared to the last quarter of 2023.

Particularly, while Tesla is increasingly establishing itself as a manufacturer, the American public’s perception is increasingly negative towards its main leader. Indeed, it seems that 42% of Americans have a negative perception of Elon Musk because of his escapades and his numerous comments related to a host of subjects, including politics. Since 2021, that’s an increase of 11 more percentage points.
