Barely unveiled, the Tesla Cybertruck is entitled to off-road accessories

The Tesla Cybertruck has caused a lot of discussion in recent weeks! The company, which began delivering some examples last November, has managed to create an event around its electric van.

Now the first lucky ones, who were finally able to get their hands on their vehicle after 4 years of waiting, can already choose to modify their replica.

Indeed, the equipment manufacturer, Unplugged Performance, displays a series of accessories and parts focused on off-roading, including a push bar capable of repelling… zombies!

Specially developed for the Cybertruck

The company, which specializes in Tesla products, has manufactured a number of accessories that carry the name “Up Invisible” for the electric van. The parts, according to the company, give customers the opportunity to make segment-standard upgrades to increase the model’s off-road capabilities.

There’s a 2.5-inch lift kit priced at US$9,995, 30- or 50-millimeter wheel spacers that cost US$155 a pair, and quick-disconnect end links for the front stabilizer bars and rear which will cost US$595.

Owners who wish to modify the pickup’s features can also choose a more powerful braking system that includes high-performance rotors (US$2,390) as well as high-performance brake pads (US$790).

Anti-apocalypse aesthetic changes

Hobbyists can also add aesthetic accessories. A more robust front bumper constructed from high-strength carbon steel is among the options. Also at the front of the vehicle, it is possible to choose a push bar composed of carbon which, according to the company, provides incredible protection against wild deer, angry zombies and other road hazards!

As is increasingly the case in the industry, the Cybertruck is not equipped with a spare wheel. Now Unplugged offers a solution with two models of forged ball bearing wheels called UP-03 and CYBRHEX respectively. Customers can order the tires themselves or add beefy tires when ordering the rims.

Some of the other parts in the “Up Invincible” catalog aim to increase the van’s practicality, such as MOLLE panels mounted on the edge of the Cybertruck in a pyramid shape, a slide-out cargo storage system and a sturdy roof rack. There is even a trunk mount for the Starlink router which allows internet connection wherever the vehicle will go.

Unplugged Performance will ship “limited quantities of select products” in December 2023. The full range will be available in early 2024, and it is currently unknown to what extent the modifications may affect the vehicle’s performance figures.
