Chevy | The Camaro ditches the four-cylinder and gets a special edition

Chevrolet has set the stage for the final year of production of its sixth-generation Camaro. On the menu: a V6, V8 as well as a variation marking the end of this chapter for this rival.

We therefore show the door to the 2.0L (275 hp) four-cylinder turbo as the entry-level engine. Only the 3.6L V6 (335 hp) will remain for the 2024 model year as an alternative to the V8s.

In addition to this modification, Chevrolet will embellish it with a Collector’s Edition package to mark the end of this generation’s reign. It will stand out with its black metallic Panther, the code name of this cuvée. In ZL1 version driven by a 6.2 L V8 equipped with a volumetric compressor (6.2 L), this group will be limited to 350 numbered examples in North America, all colored in matte black.

The end of an era, while the replacement for this Camaro is still waiting. With the upcoming end of the Dodge Challenger in its current form, the Ford Mustang will find itself next year without a direct rival.
