Tesla | A model refreshed there… and more expensive

A few days after announcing its intention to increase the prices of all its models from 1er February, Tesla lifted the veil without drum or trumpet on a refreshing cuvée of its Y model which will be marketed in March. This update is accompanied, you will have guessed it, with a substantial increase in the invoice.

Like the last version of the Model 3 sedan on which it is based, the bestseller From the American brand essentially treats its refinement with a series of modifications. Its design is thus more modern with thin headlights which complete a luminous line at the front. The rear also cultivates this horizontality with this fire which crosses the lid of the rear trunk, a stylistic element which is the trend of the moment in the industry.

The New Tesla Model Y

According to the scattered details found on the manufacturer's website – Tesla having no service dedicated to public relations -, the molding of body parts has been redesigned to reduce the number and thus reduce the interstices. We thus promise better soundproofing. It is also specified that the rims, suspensions and tires have also been revised. On board, Tesla promises better quality materials and a faster infotainment system.

On the technical level, only the livery with two engines and with great autonomy will first be offered with a projected autonomy of 503 km. The manufacturer advances a 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds without specifying the total power. If we take into account the fact that the previous cuvée loops this same acceleration test in 5 seconds, the cavalry should grow appreciably in the transition.

That said, it is above all the price of this Y model that makes jump. At $ 84,990, it is $ 16,000 more expensive than Tesla Model Y 2025 Bimtor with great autonomy if we include the price increase of $ 4,000 of 1er FEBRUARY. A great opportunity, no doubt for rivals to gain market share with more affordable products, while waiting for the less expensive deliveries of the model.
