Porsche 911 GT3 Touring 2022
The Porsche 911 GT3 Touring 2022 is all subtle in the GT3 lineup, but the eye immediately notices the removal of the imposing spoiler. At least, at $ 180,300, this version costs nothing more than the regular GT3!
Porsche continues to multiply the versions of the 911. To date, for the current generation, we are at 15 different models, and a sixteenth has been added, the 911 GT3 Touring 2022.
As the name suggests, this is an “evolution” of the GT3. In the case of the Touring, it is all a question of aesthetics, with the main manifestation being the removal of the massive rear spoiler, a striking feature of the regular GT3. Considering high-caliber performance, an electric retractable spoiler is part of the equation to provide negative pressure on the rear axle.
Other subtle changes are apparent to a discerning eye, such as a thin aluminum line in the windows, a color-matched front spoiler and black-painted Touring badges. That’s all.
Inside, it’s even more discreet with the integration of leather upholstery covering a larger area. In the doors, we count on an embossed finish. Again, that’s it.
The GT3 Touring retains the essentials, its engine. This is a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter 6-cylinder that develops 503 horsepower and produces 346 pound-feet of torque. Two transmissions are available, a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic.
Porsche announces impressive acceleration times from 0 to 100 km / hour: 3.9 seconds with the manual against 3.4 seconds for the PDK. In both cases, the top speed remains the same at 317 kilometers per hour.
Regarding the price, for a very rare time, Porsche does not overcharge a new model. The GT3 Touring sells for exactly the same price as the regular GT3. We are therefore talking about a base price of $ 180,300 before options.
