Kia releases 2023 Niro preview

The Kia Niro marketed with us since 2017 is almost unchanged, forcing the manufacturer to redesign it. This will also allow it to better coordinate with the latest products of the manufacturer and the new visual identity of Kia. Even if it will be officially unveiled on November 25, Kia has still published some sketches to give us a preview of the model.

Admittedly, these images do not make it possible to paint a complete portrait of the Kia Niro 2023, but it is obvious, when you look at the shape of the LED headlights and the grille line, that Kia took inspiration from its HabaNiro concept which it presented at the New York Auto Show in 2019.

Much like the concept did, the tail end of this upcoming Niro appears to incorporate vertical LED lights and a red painted C-pillar. However, it is not certain that this C-pillar will appear on the production model. Kia could, however, offer two-tone body color schemes for its upcoming Niro.

Kia has not yet commented on the engines. Remember that the current Niro is offered in three variants: hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric. However, Kia could decide to offer only the electric version which would borrow its powertrain and battery from the next Kia EV6. The manufacturer could also decide to keep the battery with a capacity of 64 kilowatt hours of the current Niro and to sell the model less expensive than the EV6. Several hypotheses are therefore on the table!
