Kia is full of new features

The Korean manufacturer Kia arrived at the Los Angeles auto show with some new products focused on electrification to fill its range of SUVs.

The 2026 model year Sportage debuts with a revised design in line with Kia's “Opposites United” design language. Blocks of superimposed diodes serving as headlights and amber lines serving as daytime running lights set it apart. The same trio of four cylinders continues the adventure, namely a 2.5 L (187 hp), a hybrid version of 1.6 L turbo (231 hp) and finally a plug-in hybrid variant of previous engines (268 hp).

The Kia EV6 2025 is equipped with an optional larger capacity battery (84 kWh) complementing the standard 63 kWh battery to complement its redesigned body. Two powered liveries are presented with 167 hp and 225 hp in reserve. The two-motor version has 320 hp while the EV6 sees its power increase to 601 hp (which can temporarily increase to 641 hp), to match that of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N cousin.

The marketing timelines and structures of the Canadian versions will be known soon.
