The Easter Jeep Safari 2022 in 5 concepts

For the 56th edition of Easter Jeep Safari, the Jeep team and “Jeep Performance Parts by Mopar” offer us concepts that are even more fascinating than the others. Indeed, this event, which for many is a rite of passage when buying a Jeep brand vehicle, will be held from April 9 to 17. Enthusiasts, customers, journalists and others will be on hand to watch vehicles perform breathtaking off-road manoeuvres, but what will hold the most attention are definitely these 5 concepts that will be there.

Jeep Wrangler Magnetto Concept 2.0

The Jeep Wrangler Magneto Concept made its appearance last year during the 55th edition of the Easter Jeep Safari, when the latter had made many dream of it with its 6-speed manual transmission – yes, a manual transmission in a vehicle fully electric!

For version 2.0 of this concept, we essentially keep the same ideology: 6-speed manual gearbox, electric and blue/white theme. Don’t let its looks fool you, though, since under the hood it’s a whole different beast.

Indeed, we are now talking about more than 625 horsepower and 850 pounds of torque for this electrified Wrangler! According to Jeep, this 2.0 concept can hit 96.6 km/h (60 mph) from a standstill in a ridiculous 2.0 seconds. There are also 40-inch tires mounted on 20-inch wheels, plus a host of other modifications that allow for even more off-road performance.

Jeep 41′ Concept

1941 marked the beginning for the Jeep Wrangler, originally known as the Willys, as the US military equipped itself with light vehicles with strong off-road capabilities for the First World War. The cult year is inscribed on each of the Jeep models, and the company has decided to deliver a concept that makes this era the focal point of the car.

The concept supports the same 4xe mechanics that we have known for some time now, while it displays a theme directly borrowed from the original Willys of the 1940s. Its soft roof and the upholstery of the seats in the beige cabin, the absence of windows and the presence of a winch are reminiscent of the vehicle originally commissioned by the American army.

Jeep Rubicon 20th Anniversary Concept

It was in 2003 that the first Jeep version “Rubicon” appeared on the market. To mark the 20th anniversary of the version, Jeep is dazzling with this Rubicon 20th Anniversary Concept.

First, under the hood is a 6.4-liter eight-cylinder HEMI engine that produces about 475 horsepower. This concept is largely inspired by the Wrangler Rubicon 392 currently on sale: the latter offers a high-performance exhaust system, 33-inch tires and FOX-branded suspension components.

The concept, meanwhile, uses 37-inch tires, a 2-inch suspension rise, a winch, and “20th Anniversary” badging throughout the body.

Jeep Bob Concept

The Jeep Bob Concept is based on the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, but has obviously been given a shock treatment by the engineering team in charge of the project.

Its name derives from the popular trend of “bobbing” which involves reducing the length of a pickup truck box in order to give it a supposedly enhanced look. As you can see, these aren’t the only changes that have been made to the pickup (or SUV?).

40-inch tires are responsible for moving this guy forward, a 3-inch mounted suspension is in place, while a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel engine is found under the hood and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk PHEV Concept

The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe has just hit the market and Jeep is taking the opportunity to show how far this vehicle’s off-road performance can really go.

The concept presented to us is therefore almost identical to the production version that circulates on our roads; however, there are some rather interesting elements, including 33-inch BF Goodrich off-road tires. Otherwise, there are also a few aesthetic elements throughout the cabin and on the body of the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Concept, then accessories such as a roof rack and fog lights are also present.

Other concepts unique to Easter Jeep Safari will also be present on site, as the photo gallery indicates, and there is even a concept that was presented at SEMA in Las Vegas in 2021.
