Hyundai unveils refreshed Elantra in South Korea

Hyundai has developed a habit of constantly changing the design of its models. As proof, the manufacturer is already updating the Elantra its compact sedan, although it was introduced for the 2021 model year. While the changes currently only affect the South Korean model, they could be applied to our Elantra as early as next year.

The images you see on the screen come from Hyundai’s website on the South Korean market. They were then republished by the media Motor1. We note that, indeed, the Elantra, which is called the Avante in its native market, has received some aesthetic changes, in particular at the level of the front and rear parts, as well as the rims.

For example, the radiator grille is now thinner. It is fitted with a thin chrome bar on its upper part, while the optical units have also been flattened. The whole bumper is sportier, incorporating a downward air intake as well as two more false air intakes at each end. Honestly, it’s a lot more appealing than the outgoing model which isn’t unanimous with our team of journalists.

At the rear, the changes are more subtle. The lights have been renewed, only the design of the bumper has been retouched.

We also notice new rims, a different pattern on the C-pillar, while the chrome strip that coats the window belt is more prominent. A single image of the cabin reveals a new pale green layout.

It is still far too early to know if Hyundai will make any technical changes to the 2024 Elantra which will certainly be unveiled for our market soon.

The Elantra will no doubt continue to be offered in several flavors, including hybrid and high-performance N versions, to name a few. It is this quality that allows this compact to stand out from its competition and which allowed it to rank in our list of the best vehicles of 2023. We will get back to you with more details on the 2024 Canadian model as soon as they will be available.
